Personal Mission Statement &
Approach to Ministry

Scott’s personal mission statement is taken directly from Psalm 78:4  ‘…to teach the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of our Lord.’  He believes the most important role of the local church is not what we do when we gather, but what we do with what we know when we are scattered into the community God has called us to serve.  He believes every church has a responsibility locally, nationally, and internationally to equip Christ-followers by providing environments where biblical community and personal, intentional growth can take place.

“When the church gathers, I believe scripture should be taught in a practical manner that leads to a better-equipped scattered church in the marketplace.  As Christ-followers, we are called to demonstrate a commitment and passion to loving both the people in the culture and those He has entrusted to our care in the Body of Christ.”  Scott  believes the heart of discipleship is meeting people where they are and showing them the next step in their journey.  As a primary responsibility of the Church, this should happen more often during the week in the platforms God has given us in the marketplace.
